The Wedge Hairstyles for Women became popular after Dorothy Hamill, 1976 Olympic figure skating champion, wore the style on the ice. Women wedge hairstyles are typically short and tapered upward in the back, and the front are angled downward a little longer. Also the bangs are cut across the forehead.
Rihanna wore a modern day wedge haircut and Keyshia Cole wore a curly rendition. Its a cute style, but you have to keep it cut to keep the look.
