Coming off the success of her first starring role in Battleship, Rihanna has just signed on to lend her voice to a new animated film, Happy Smekday!. Rihanna will be playing a lead character opposite Jim Parsons (of Big Bang Theory fame).
Happy Smekday! is about a group of aliens who flee to Earth to escape their enemy. One ends up on a road trip across America with a teenage girl, who teaches him the meaning of being human.
The film is being directed by Tim Johnson and is expected to be released at the end of 2014.
