i have a question. i am a 15 year old student .. and i want a change. i’ve always have had really long hair, and i am deciding to go short. even though i’m not the skinniest person, would short hair look ok? i want layers and side swept bangs but i don’t know if it i will look right on me.

i have gone all lengths, and i dont want a short short cut, but it is too hot to keep my long/medium length hair. maci, I suggest going to a professional stylist to give you a consultaion and figure out what haircuts fits best on your face shape. Curly hair is not easy to manage, but the texture is beautiful, so make sure what ever cut you get it enhances your curly hair and not make it harder to manage.
brandi, sounds like you have a dillema also. Again, a professional stylist will be able to help you one on one, but from what you tell me I think a chin length even cut will do, with side swept bangs.

I’m a 14 year old girl. I’m looking for a hairstyle that I would consider ‘cutting edge.’ My hair is fairly curly, the bottom layer usually dries in barrels as big as a spool of thread, and the top dries in little ringlets. My hair is very thick.
Is there anything I can do without defusing my hair that involves something other than layers?
I have long thick hair, it curls in some sections, its wavey in other sections, it is also layered, however the layers are now becoming long as they are growing out. I am in the early stages of my adult life and still look like a young girl and my hair is a big factor for this, i am after a hair style which will justify my age, the way i feel and be trendy all at the same time. I was thinking a shorter style but with the thickness of my hair i am worried it will turn out to be a horrible mess. Are there any short styles which would suite thick hair…please help!

I have had long hair for my entire life, and about six years ago I decided to go short- DISASTER! I am made for long hair.
My hair is mid back length and I have long side bangs parted to my left. I got my hair cut last year and without my asking, my bangs were cut up to my eyebrow which I did not like at all, it didn’t suit me.
I would like to keep my hair long with some sort of long thin bang (that JUST can’t be put behind my ear) but I can not find any type of bang that I think would look good on me.

I’m fifteen and I play softball. I really want to cut my hair short, but it has to be practical. If it’s short enough, I think I can just ignore it when I play sports like a guy. I have a round face and am on the stockier end of the spectrum. I was thinking of doing something like a pixie cut, but slightly on the longer side with lots of razor cutting. How would that look on me? I want something that I can gel up and style some mornings and just get up and go on others. How does that compare with the style I want? Help me!!!!!
