Just weeks after Beyonce announced her pregnancy, rumours began to swirl that she and Jay-Z were posing a fake pregnancy and really using a surrogate mother instead. The new momma is finally addressing those rumours, calling the whole debacle “crazy.”
‘It wasn’t hurtful, it was just crazy,” she told People magazine. ”[I thought] ‘Where did they come up with this?’”
Beyonce’s mom, Tina Knowles, was a little less impressed.
“I thought it was very unfair and very cruel that someone would think that someone would be that diabolical to keep up a charade like that for nine months,” Knowles said. “As a mother it was painful for me to hear the crazy rumours. And I even had people ask me, which was so ridiculous.”
